Event overview

Welcome to the 2019 Garbage Olympics! On September 21st, neighborhoods all across the city will have competing clean-ups to see who can pick up the most trash. The competition will be judged by the Clean Pittsburgh Commission - Prizes will be awarded for: -Dirtiest Volunteer - Most Garbage Collected - Most Volunteers - Strangest Item Found We will set up in the back of the YMCA in Homewood at 8am. You can register at the basketball ball courts starting at 8. The actual cleanup will begin at 9am and end promptly at 11am. Food and refreshments will be provided. The Garbage Olympics closing ceremonies (food provided) will be at Threadbare Cider and Mead kick off at noon if you’d like to attend. (Optional) Contact Derrick Clark (412) 689-3585 for more info.

There will be parking in the back of the YMCA parking lot. You can also park on Bennett Street or Kelly Street.
