On August 17th, 2019, come join members of both the Seattle 1st and 2nd Platoon's, as well as members of the Tacoma 1st Platoon, as they report for duty in Seattle's very own International District for the 2019 PNW Service Block Party.
We'll link up at the Danny Woo Community Garden with partners from Interim CDA, for what promises to be the premier event of the year. Our members will be tackling several distinct projects as they focus on the entire community. We'll be building benches for kids, replacing wooden steps for seniors, mulching, gardening and connecting with our community.
Our platoon members are joined by representatives of Seattle's Tech Community, as we once again lean on the #VeteransInTech initiative. Code Fellows will be onsite, as well as representatives from Starbucks, Delta, Bank Of America, T-Mobile, Four Block, Bunker Labs, Boeing and more. Veterans from all over the NW will be involved...you will not want to miss it.
Starbucks will be providing refreshments...and lunch is provided.
This is going to be awesome...you do not want to miss it.

Inclement Weather Plan :
Certain host organizations, such as schools, may prohibit volunteers with certain types of criminal convictions from participating in a service project. Accordingly, The Mission Continues is requesting your consent to conduct a criminal background check in the event that your Platoon is engaging in a service project with a host organization that requires a criminal background check. By checking the box below, you authorize The Mission Continues to conduct a criminal background check.
If such a background check is required, it will be completed and used in accordance with applicable law. The Mission Continues does not automatically disqualify persons from Platoons based on criminal convictions. We want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to move forward in their lives through service, at the same time that we seek to protect the communities we serve together.
