Event overview

Please join the staff of Keep Killeen Beautiful (KKB) Committee, the volunteers of The Mission Continues' Killeen 1st Service Platoon and American Veterans Mission, and other community leaders and members in the National Arbor Day Tree-Planting Ceremony on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Central Standard Time. The ceremony will involve planting 13 trees in honor of veterans and their families who made a significant impact in the lives of service members and our local communities. The Keep Killeen Beautiful (KKB) Committee has graciously provided the saxophonist, singer, photographer, caterer, chairs, tables, plaques, and trees for this event. The TMC's Killeen 1st Platoon leader and a volunteer from the American Veterans Mission (AVM) have volunteered to escort two (2) of the 13 honorary families for this event. We are pleased to announce that one of the honorary families for this event is LTG (Ret) Dave Palmer, former Superintendent of the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, a mentor to the Killeen 1st Service Platoon leader, and one of the community champions in the Central Texas area.
