From Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center – Retreat Center – Joshua Tree – California:
"On October 12th our Retreat Center was devastated by a major storm that impacted all of Joshua Tree, Landers, 29 Palms, and Palm Springs. There were power outage for two days and our main water line was busted. We had to repair over 350 feet of the pipeline in order to have water to the house. The house stands on 10 acres of land but the land is over 90% damaged. We are trying to do some of the cleanup our self. We need your veterans to assist us at this time. We have old wood and old iron fencing that need to be removed from the property prior to the landscaper leveling off the land."

Come out with 2nd Platoon and help repair the damage to the retreat. I have space for 3 volunteers in my car and we can coordinate for more carpools if necessary. We will need to leave Los Angeles by 6:30. You will be rewarded with breakfast and lunch and a sense of accomplishment.
