Revitalizing Howard Playground in Brownsville: Part 3 of 3

October 27, 2018

10:00 AM - 02:00 PM EDT

New York City Platoon

Event overview

On August 18th, The Mission Continues Brooklyn Platoon planned to be in Brownsville Brooklyn once again for an impactful day of service to revitalize the playground. Unfortunately, the event was canceled because of rain twice in August and September. Fortunately, we'll be out on October 27th for the rain date. We have been consistently deploying our volunteers to Brownsville to build a stronger more connected community there as Brownsville residents intend to change the negative narrative around the community as being "the worst neighborhood for children" into "Brownsville, a Community of Resilience." We are going to finish up rebuilding Howard Playground for children that visit the library by finishing a design the youth council of Brooklyn Public Library has requested. This project will be the final part of rebuilding Howard Playground. Hope to see you there!
