TMC Veterans Day Project at Hildebrand Shelters

November 10, 2018

10:00 AM - 03:00 PM EST

Boston Platoon

Event overview

Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans. On this Veterans Day 2018, the Boston 1st Service Platoon invites you to join our veteran volunteers and community members for an impactful day of service at (2) family homeless shelters in Cambridge. Together we will clean-up and landscape the backyard of these sites to make them safe and accessible to children and families, as well as renovate the children's indoor playroom with a fresh coat of paint and new flooring. This is a family-friendly event, and we will have music, lunch, and water onsite for volunteers. Come make a difference with us, and dedicate your service to honor those who have served! ***Because we are going to be volunteering at family homeless shelters, we want to be respectful to their privacy. We will not be posting the official address online. This will only be sent out to those who've registered to volunteer. Both shelters are located within walking distance of Central Square Red Line T-Station in Cambridge.
