Join TMC as we support an exciting project coordinated by Hands on Nashville and The Home Depot Foundation! We're looking for Platoon Members to serve as project leads for this special opportunity to support great work by fellow community organizations in the city. "On September 13, 2018, 240 volunteers from The Home Depot Foundation will work on a variety of projects at Hope and Healing at Hillenglade (HHH), a nonprofit and equine farm in Nashville that serves our Armed Forces, Veterans, First Responders and their families. Volunteers will complete 20 different projects at HHH, including installing siding, doors and windows on multiple structures, building benches and picnic tables, constructing an above ground pond and landscaping. All of HHH’s programming is completely free of charge for Veterans and their families, and includes Family Celebration Events and Equine-Assisted Sessions & Programs, such as their new Empowerment Transition Program, which offers two female Veterans and/or First Responders the opportunity to live at HHH for a three-month period to focus on their personal growth, encouragement and well-being while gaining vocational skills in horse care as they move into the next chapter of their lives. In order to accomplish the long list of projects on September 13, Hope and Healing at Hillenglade, The Home Depot Foundation and Hands On Nashville request the support of volunteer leaders from The Mission Continues on the day of the project. Hands On Nashville will train volunteer leaders to help ensure the scope of work is completed by the volunteers."
