Safety Upgrades for Our Oldest Volunteer

September 01, 2018

10:00 AM - 03:00 PM EDT

Pittsburgh Platoon

Event overview

Our oldest volunteer - Ms. Pat - has offered to host us at her home and make us lunch, in exchange for a few hours of manual labor around her home in Carrick. Pat spent a few days in the hospital earlier this year, due to a fall she took on her icy front steps. She is still recovering from the injuries she sustained, and currently has her daughter and son-in-law living at her home to help her. We want to show Pat some love, and make sure that she feels safe and confident coming and going from her home independently, year-round. Nate and I scoped out her home and put together a small list of projects that we can help her with. We are only inviting a dozen or so of our volunteers to this event, since it is a tight work space. Please consider spending the day with us and supporting Ms. Pat at this project! I hope you can make it!
