Joint NOLB & TMC Storage Unit Makeover

March 17, 2018

10:00 AM - 02:00 PM EDT

Pittsburgh Platoon

Event overview

Last year, we developed a meaningful partnership with our friends at No One Left Behind (NOLB) - Pittsburgh Chapter. A non profit organization that helps Afghan and Iraqi combat interpreters with Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs) resettle safely in the United States. They bridge the gap that exists between current State Department and NGO refugee relief programs, and provide assistance with housing, employment and cultural adaptation. We now share a storage container in Hazelwood, providing a secure space to store both organization's supplies. For this project, we will be working with NOLB to build more shelves and organize the combined storage unit. We are going to need individuals comfortable moving heavy stuff, working with power tools, using paint/spray paint, good at organizing, enjoying a good laugh, and having fun. Our storage unit is placed at the old Gladstone Middle School in Hazelwood right on Hazelwood Ave. Google Maps had no problem giving directions when I input that info. So please come out and join us! It’ll be fun!
