June 9th, 2018. 0800 – 1200, and 1230 - 1630
We will be leading the effort this year for operation clean sweep. Every year, after the Memorial day holiday and passed, there have been groups of veterans and non-veterans that have participated in helping the Fort Snelling Cemetery’s grounds crews clean up from the holiday so they can continue their work in keeping the cemetery clean and well maintained. The Mission Continues Twin Cities Platoons have been handed this event to lead this year.
We are looking for people to sign up for either the AM (0800-1200) or the PM shift (1230-1630) or both. We will have both VSO’s and other corporate groups out for his large event. We will be looking for volunteers to help with the clean sweep along with support personnel for areas like check in, supply runners, area captains and set up and tear down.
Please consider this event – bring the family out. It’s a great way to see and teach the next generation as to why a place like this is so important.

What To Wear :

Dress is casual – wear good walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Last year, it was a warm one. TMC T-shirts are always suggested. Will have plenty on hand for those who do not have them yet.

What To Bring :

Great attitude. We will have water on site and will be supplying lunch at 1200.

Parking :

Ample parking will be available on site - will send updated maps to those registered closer to the event.

Inclement Weather Plan :

We will access the weather closer to the event and send updates as to event postponements due to heavy rain or weather events
