Step into nature with the Los Angeles 2nd platoon as we support the National Parks Conservation Association at Ernest R. Debs Regional Park! Adjacent to downtown, Debs Park's 282 acres makes it the fourth-largest park in LA, and an urban oasis for both wildlife and people. We will be assisting the NPCA in trail work & restoration, so that future generations can continue to enjoy this wilderness jewel in the heart of Los Angeles. If you've never been to Debs Park before, this is a great opportunity to see what the facility offers while enjoying needed wildlife and scenery. Part wildlife refuge, part recreational facility, the park serves much of the Northeast Los Angeles community, providing hiking trails, basketball courts, and picnic areas. Hike to the top of Debs Park to be rewarded with beautiful vistas of Highland Park, Downtown Los Angeles, and East Los Angeles while enjoying a picnic around the pond. The National Parks will also have awesome swag like tshirts and hats to give away and some family size cooler bags to raffle off. Be sure to join us for the fun!
