The goal of Propel Hazelwood’s College/Career Day event is to provide their students with early awareness and exposure to career and college preparation. This program creates a college-bound culture at the elementary level to cultivate and foster scholar success through academic achievement, scholar efficacy, career development, and goal assessment. Their hope is that every child attending Propel has the skills and information needed to attend a college of his or her choice and be prepared for a post-secondary career. Propel Hazelwood is seeking TMC volunteers to present about their occupation/career path to students, grades K-7, at this event. Outlined below is information that will be useful to you, if you'd like to volunteer as one of their presenters: Presentations should be between 20-30 minutes in length. You will conduct one presentation to scholars ranging from kindergarten through 7th grade. The recommended format includes: related school subjects, education/training, personal skills necessary in your field, typical day in your field, child friendly games and presentations, hands on activities or visuals, etc. Please contact Patti Gerhauser directly if you'd like to volunteer as a presenter at this event. Once you are registered as a presenter, additional information about the specific location and time of your presentation will be coordinated.
